The Crystal Coast HS Summer League is an opportunity for local high school girls to get out and get playing since the majority of the HS season was cancelled due to COVID-19.
THURSDAY nights at Western Park in Cape Carteret. June 30-August 11.
The format is simple:
1) Register online to play (you must have an active US Lacrosse # - Get a US Lacrosse # here!). We will be splitting the teams by school or combining schools in a region (ex: If Croatan HS has enough girls interested to field a school-specific team they will all play together. If White Oak HS has 8 girls interested and Northside has 10 girls interested we will combine these two schools to make a team).
2) Show up on Thursday nights at Western Park to play (start time for games will be 6p or 7:30p). We will send out a schedule once registration is complete.
3) You will be given a reversible jersey as part of your registration so no need to wear your HS jersey.
4) Have fun and enjoy the game we all love and miss :)
Questions:
- Who is eligible to play? This league is open to girls only. Graduation year 2020 (current HS seniors) - 2024 (current 8th grader).
- What is the cost? $25 per player. The $25 will go towards a reversible jersey that is yours to keep as well as paying for officials.
- What is the registration deadline? June 10, 2020.
- Can I invite my friend from a different school to play? Yes.
- How long will the "season" last? We intend to start on Thursday, July 2nd and play for 7 weeks. The last night will be August 13th.
- How many teams will be in the league? We are hoping to field at least 4 teams. This would give you the opportunity to play against 3 other teams on a rotating basis.
- Do I have to be a Bogue Elite or Bogue Rec player to join? No.
- Why do I need a US Lacrosse # and how do I get one? Your US Lacrosse # will cover your insurance to play. Get a US Lacrosse # here!
**If the Governor does not allow for this type of event to happen before the school year starts you will receive a full $25 refund**
